Between León and Hospital de Orbigo, there are 2 alternative routes for this stage that split soon after León, in La Virgen del Camino. The Northern one via Villadangos del Páramo is slightly shorter but involves mainly walking next to a main road.
The Southern one via Villar de Mazarife is a more rural "scenic route" and is equally as historic if not more so, despite some incorrect commentaries. Villavante is on the Southern route. El Molino del Sol is directly on the Camino Frances as you exit the village of Villavante.

In Villavante, please be careful to follow the signals and arrows for the Camino, not Google maps or any other app. You should be entering and crossing through the village and over a road-bridge over the railway line.
There is no need for doubt once you reach the cow field and non-asphalted road after crossing the bridge, that really is the Camino and we are the next turning on the right
